With Fathom, you get to fully immerse yourself in the conversation and never miss a beat. This app records, transcribes, and highlights the critical moments of your calls, so you can focus on the most important aspects of your discussions. Use Fathom and elevate your Zoom calls to the next level!
For a start guide, please visit Fathom's Knowledge Base Article titled "Getting Started".
Within your Fathom settings, you can decide if you want the recording to automatically start recording or if you want to manually use the "Start Recording" button.
The app pops up to remind you of your meetings. When you join the meeting you'll see the "Start Recording" button if you have the setting as manual.
If no one has joined the meeting yet, it'll say "Awaiting attendees"
Once attendees join the meeting your Fathom will fully connect to the Zoom call and will appear as another Zoom attendee.
The Fathom app takes notes for you! It transcribes the entire meeting and summarizes the call. However let's take a look at the different options you have:
You can click the dropdown box near the word "Highlight" and you'll see a few options to utilize.
For more info on how to customize and use the highlight options, please visit Fathom's Knowledge Base Article titled "Taking Highlights During Your Call".
You can add an action item to your call, it'll capture 10 seconds before and 10 seconds after you click it. When the call is concluded, you'll have a nicely organized checklist from the meeting. Those action items can be copied to another application such as Gmail or Google Docs.

When the meeting has ended, you'll see a button to view the recording and a button to send it to all the attendees. It's really that simple!
